New National Minimum Wage Rates from 1st October 2016

Employers are reminded that the new National Minimum Wage (NMW) rates are coming into force this weekend from 1st October 2016.

National minimum wage (NMW) rates will increase on 1 October by between 3% and 4.7% for workers under the age of 25 and apprentices.



21 to 24 £6.95
18 to 20 £5.55
16 to 17 £4.00
Apprentices £3.40



The National Living wage (NLW) for over 25’s remains at £7.20 per hour
